MIKE WATT
Meet the new boat—same as the old boat! Here's Cap'n Mike Watt, proudly posing with his white 2005 Ford Econoline E-350 van, which he affectionately refers to as "the Boat." Like many sailors before him, his homeport is San Pedro (that's PEE-dro to you, bub!), but he's always embarking on dangerous and trying voyages.
This new vessel replaces a previous incarnation of the Boat—a 1990 Ford Econoline E-250 van. That workhorse piece of UAW steel carried Watt and his various crews on 20 cross-country hellride tours between 1990-2004. That's more than a quarter of a million miles, many of them driven by Watt himself. Yo ho ho and a hot cup of coff!
