Profile: Formed not far from the real land of red hot chili peppers and some spicy tamales, the nucleus of the band began when lead singer Anthony Kiedis did a one-shot metal rap gig with his pals in What Is this. As the band's reputation grew, Kiedis put together a real band that is rapidly becoming known for its blend of rap/funk with metal/punk LPs produced by ex-Gang Of Four Andy Gill and George Clinton and their incredibly zany live performances.
